Scotland’s Health Awards acknowledge and celebrate those working across NHS Scotland and its partners to deliver high quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland. These awards will also recognise those that go that extra mile to improve the health and wellbeing of others.
Scotland’s Health Awards 2025 Congratulations to the Winners!
Inspirational stories of compassion and devotion – of courage, comfort and kindness took centre stage at this year’s Scotland’s Health Awards, as staff came together to celebrate the very best of the country’s health and care workforce.
Scotland’s Health Awards 2025 were held in Edinburgh, and this year’s winners demonstrated groundbreaking initiatives, pioneering research, excellence in patient care and a shared sense of purpose - from skilled clinicians and compassionate carers, to volunteers and innovative teams.
Making a real and lasting difference to so many patients and families through their incredible hard work, often without fanfare - this year’s finalists and winners have made meaningful change not just locally, but nationally and internationally.
Speaking after attending the awards, Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care said:
“It’s important that we acknowledge and shine a light on these exceptional individuals and teams who go above and beyond to ensure that patients, families and communities receive the very best care.
“It truly was an honour to hear more about the incredible work and achievements that are taking place across the country - recognising the extraordinary efforts that make a real difference.
“I am acutely aware of the many challenges within our health service, but it’s moments like this that I am also reminded of our wonderful resilient and robust NHS colleagues and their unwavering commitment to improving lives – helping us all to live longer and more fulfilling lives.
“Congratulations to all the finalists and winners – I am proud of everything you do and the lasting impact that you all make every day to the lives of others.”
The finalists and winners were described as inspiring, inclusive, and respectful – professionals who go far beyond their roles, often giving their own time to provide support and care – often in some of the most challenging and emotional circumstances for patients and their families.
