This year’s NHS Scotland Event will take place at the P&J Live in Aberdeen on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 June.
The title of this year’s Event is Pandemic Recovery and Reform for the Future.
We’re delighted to be back in-person for the 2022 Event in a brand new location, and look forward to seeing all of this year’s posters on display in the exhibition hall.
Submissions are welcome from NHS Scotland employees, our voluntary and partner organisations, and other public or private sector organisations on any aspect of work they are undertaking in, with or on behalf of NHS Scotland.
This year’s Event will focus on the long journey ahead to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Throughout the last two years, our health and social care system has had to respond as never before and we continue to be challenged by a pandemic that impacts our lives each and everyday.
The NHS Scotland Event 2022 will also look at how we address these challenges by focusing on our priorities and building on our successes while working collaboratively to deliver the highest quality person-centred, safe and effective integrated care for every individual in Scotland.
Every year, the Event provides the opportunity for those working in and with the NHS in Scotland to come together to consider the challenges, to share best practice and the most innovative approaches to delivering the highest quality of care, and to take away tools and techniques that will support them in their various roles.
We are mindful of the increasing pressures on our health and social care colleagues at the moment, but we hope that this year’s Event and poster exhibition will provide a chance to come together to share the incredible stories and showcase the extraordinary work of NHS Scotland staff and partners in responding to the pandemic.
While we expect that COVID-19 will feature across the majority of the Poster submissions, our special category – Responding to and Learning from COVID-19 – specifically aims to recognise the incredible new and innovative models of care our colleagues across health and social care have developed in order to provide much needed care to individuals under incredibly difficult circumstances. Demonstrating outstanding commitment, dedication and compassion in keeping people safe and providing care when we have needed it most.
We’re delighted to announce the return of the Poster Awards Ceremony at this year’s Event. All posters will be judged before the Event and there will be a winner in each category as well as a winner of the People’s Choice Poster Award to be voted for by the delegates at the Event.
There will also be a Transformational Change Award, which will recognise work that is transforming the way care is provided in Scotland. If poster authors want their abstract to be considered for this award, please ensure this is fully illustrated in the abstract.
For further information on this year’s poster process, visit the poster section of the website and download the Call for Posters Guide. The Guide contains information and guidance on the process for submitting a poster abstract.
