Registration is now open for the NHS Scotland Event 2024, which will take place on Monday 10 June at the SEC in Glasgow. The theme for this year’s Event is Planning for the Future: Delivering Health and Care Services through Innovation and Collaboration.
Over the past year, NHS Scotland and its partners across health and social care have once again risen to the challenges of delivering services during a time of unprecedented change. The collaborative efforts and adaptability demonstrated by our healthcare professionals highlight not only their resilience but also a steadfast commitment to the evolving needs of the population.
Addressing the short-to medium term demands, maintaining services and delivering effective person-centred care have been of fundamental importance to meeting the needs of our population right now.
However, we need to plan and deliver health and care in Scotland for the future. Working collaboratively to achieve practical and innovative solutions to the challenges we will face together will be a central focus for the NHS Scotland Event 2024.
The Event will provide the opportunity for colleagues to share their experiences, explore new ways of working, celebrate success and work together to deliver the highest quality person-centred, safe and effective integrated care for every individual in Scotland.
Caroline Lamb, Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Director General Health and Social Care will welcome delegates to this year’s Event, setting out the programme and taking the opportunity to reflect on another challenging year.
Mr Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care will also discuss his priorities in his first address to staff at the NHS Scotland Event.
Delegates will have a range of sessions to choose from while attending the Event. These include Mini-plenaries, Parallel and Spotlight sessions which have all been designed around the theme of the Event and will feature a number of real examples of exceptional care across NHS Scotland and its partners.
This year’s Event will also feature the Poster Exhibition. For the first time since 2022, delegates will have the opportunity to view around 200 posters representing the very best examples of quality improvement in each of the poster categories – person-centred, safe, effective, infrastructure, health of the population, value and sustainability, integrated care and new for 2024, Sustainable Care.
Places go quickly so make sure you register your place for Scotland’s leading health event.
Before registering, please ensure you view the full programme which includes detailed descriptors for all sessions – these will help you to make an informed decision on the sessions you feel are most relevant to your area of work.
