Nicola Barnstaple

Nicola Barnstaple joined the Scottish Government, in 2012, as Programme Manager for the Detect Cancer Early programme. In 2015, Nicola took over as programme director with responsibility for cancer waiting times performance and early diagnosis within the Directorate of Performance and Delivery. Nicola has been Associate National Director within the National Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD) since April 2020. 

Nicola maintains leadership for cancer waiting times performance in Scottish Government and through CfSD is leading the development of an early cancer strategy for Scotland including introduction of Scotland’s first Early Cancer Diagnostic Centres.
