Jane Gaffney

Jane is currently the Senior Charge Nurse for General Surgery and Day Surgery at NHS Golden Jubilee. She trained at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 1989.

As a new Staff Nurse worked in Orthopaedics and Trauma at the GRI and many years later in Stirling Royal Infirmary then NHS Golden Jubilee. She left Orthopaedics at the GRI to work in HDU Plastics & Maxillofacial surgery in Canniesburn Hospital and then Addenbrookes Hospital for 8 years. Jane was a Case manager for an NHS Scotland Anticipatory Care project within the Criminal Justice system for a year prior coming to GJNH in 2011 as Charge Nurse in Orthopaedics then was a Discharge Co-ordinator for 4 years. She then moved to General and day Surgery.

Jane is passionate about delivering quality care and ensuring an optimum patient experience.
