Dr Tom Mackay

Dr Mackay qualified from Edinburgh University medical school and completed his postgraduate training in Respiratory and General Medicine in Edinburgh and London. He took up his first Consultant post in Paisley before moving to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he spent 24 years as a Respiratory Physician and head of the Sleep service. He took early retirement for a day in 2000 before moving to the Borders General Hospital to develop a general Respiratory service.
