A wealth of learning from the NHS Scotland Event 2025 is now available - offering valuable insights, inspiration, and practical tools, whether you attended the Event or not.

The resources provide an opportunity to explore the latest thinking, innovation, and best practice from across Scotland’s health and care system. From keynote speeches and panel discussions to improvement projects and lived experience stories, the content is designed to support ongoing learning, spark new ideas, and help drive positive change in your own area of work.

This year’s Event, held on Monday 9 June at the Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, brought together over 500 delegates in-person and over 400 online via the new virtual platform.

Explore the Key Themes and Priorities

The theme - NHS Renewal; Protecting and Strengthening Scotland’s Health and Care Services - focused on the priorities that matter most:

  • Improving access to care
  • Supporting our workforce
  • Shifting more care into communities
  • Prioritising prevention
  • Embracing innovation

These themes were explored through a range of sessions and discussions, offering practical insights and real-world examples of how services are evolving to meet the needs of Scotland’s population.

Hear from leaders and those with lived experience

The opening plenary session featured Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care and Caroline Lamb, Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Director General Health and Social Care. They acknowledged the ongoing pressures facing, staff while recognising the extraordinary efforts and commitment shown across the system.

A lively Q&A session gave delegates the change to engage directly with both leaders, focusing on reform, renewal and delivering the change Scotland’s population needs now and in the future.

Throughout the day, speakers from across sectors—and those with lived experience—shared their stories, challenges, and successes, offering valuable learning for all.

Discover Innovation and Best Practice

Poster Exhibition: With over 100 posters on display, delegates had the chance to hear about innovative projects showcasing best practice. Many described this as a highlight of the day – being able to share experiences and take away key learning back to their teams.
