Nominations are now officially open for Scotland’s Health Awards 2026, offering an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary individuals and teams who demonstrate exceptional dedication in delivering high-quality health and social care.
These awards offer staff and the public a chance to reward excellence, innovation and leadership, whilst also highlighting the achievements of those who make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes each and every day.
Newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Health and Care, Angela Constance said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be launching Scotland’s Health Awards 2026 in my new role as Cabinet Secretary for Health and Care. These awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge our wonderful colleagues who work tirelessly day in, day out across out health and care service to deliver high quality care and compassion – often under challenging and emotional circumstances.
Scotland’s Health Awards are about recognising the extraordinary efforts that make a lasting difference to the lives of patients, families and communities. These awards give people the chance to say a heartfelt thank you - to express their gratitude for the care and kindness they’ve experienced. For staff and volunteers, it’s a powerful reminder that their work is valued and appreciated. Whether they’re on the front line or in support roles, being recognised for the difference they make is incredibly special.
I would encourage everyone to please take the time to nominate and say thank you on behalf of all of us.”
