Welcome and Opening Address: Transforming Through Collaboration

As Scotland’s health and social care services face increasing demand, operational pressures and financial challenges, the Opening Session of the NHS Scotland Event 2026 will explore how reform and collaboration are driving improvement across the system. Delegates will hear from the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Care and the Interim Chief Executive of NHS Scotland on progress against national priorities. Chaired by Scotland’s Chief Nursing Officer, Professor Aisha Holloway, the session will also examine leadership, partnership working and collective action to create a more sustainable, resilient health and care system for Scotland.
