Dr Ruth Dryden

Ruth leads the Vaccine Confidence and Equity team at Public Health Scotland. The team are responsible for developing materials to support informed consent for all vaccination programmes in Scotland. Ruth has a strategic role in stakeholder engagement and works with trusted voices in different sectors to identify solutions to improve vaccine uptake and reduce healthcare inequalities.

Ruth has over 10 years’ experience of working in the NHS on a wide range of relevant topics including immunisation, screening, primary care, and health inequalities. She has a Masters in Public Health and a PhD with a focus on reducing healthcare inequalities.
