Alifia Chakera

Alifia is the Head of Pharmaceutical Sustainability with the Scottish Government’s Health Infrastructure Division. Alifia is a clinical pharmacist with over 25 years’ experience including working in global public health with a focus on health system strengthening. In recent years her attention has turned to climate change and health care’s toxic footprint. Alifia is an award winning specialist in the field of nitrous oxide mitigation, the principal pharmacist for the national Green Theatres Programme and is leading on nurturing sustainable decision making pathways through the application of health climate economic tools.
