Arwel Williams was appointed as Director of the South Sector, NHSGGC in July 2022. The South Sector of NHSGGC covers a number of clinical sites including the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Within NHSGGC, Arwel was previously the Director responsible for Regional and Diagnostic services. Arwel joined the NHS through the English NHS Management Training Scheme in September 2007 and held a variety of operational management and commissioning roles throughout the West Midlands and North West of England prior to relocating to Scotland, and joining NHSGGC, in 2015.
