Carlyn Davie

Consultant Emergency Medicine, NHS Lothian

A woman with long, dark brown hair.

Carlyn Davie is a newly appointed Consultant in Emergency Medicine having completed her training in NHS Lothian. Her interests are in staff support and wellbeing.

In 2018, she was awarded the Robin Mitchell Fellowship and travelled to Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University to complete the summer school in Healthcare Human Factors and also spend time learning about their staff support programme called Resilience in Stressful Events (RISE). On her return she worked with colleagues to set up a similar multidisciplinary peer support network for staff working in front door areas of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Carlyn is now part of the team who are taking this service forward and spreading it throughout NHS Lothian and our Health and Social Care Partnerships.
