Emma joined Lothian & Borders Police 18 years ago and undertook a variety of partnership and community roles with Edinburgh. Following the formation of Police Scotland in 2013 Emma played a key role in developing the Policing Plan and whilst within Edinburgh City led the local community planning partnership focusing on early intervention and harm prevention.  

Emma is currently the partnership lead within the Contact Assessment Model Project to implement a new model into Police Scotland to better assess risk and vulnerability at first point of contact. She is also the Police lead for the tri collaborative Mental Health Pathway Project with NHS 24 and Scottish Ambulance Service to enable suitable calls received  to be transferred to the NHS 24 Mental Wellbeing Hub so individuals can receive compassionate support at the earliest opportunity.
