David Mackinlay

David has worked in Emergency Medicine in NHS Tayside since 2017, graduating into his Specialty Doctor role in 2022.

In 2019 he participated in Tayside’s QI programme, working with a small multi-disciplinary team to create a pathway for patients presenting with substance misuse seizures resulting in a national first – a joint substance misuse and epilepsy specialist clinic.

This sparked a passion for QI, leading to involvement with the Green FNC work, validation of point of care troponin testing locally, ongoing work looking at chest pain presentations and creation of a monthly, inclusive, team-based simulation programme.
