David Miller has worked for NHS Scotland for over twenty years as a Human Resources (HR) Professional. David started as a recruitment assistant and worked across a variety of functions prior to becoming an HR Director. David took up his current post a few weeks before the Pandemic as Chief People Officer, in the Health and Social Care Directorate of Scottish Government. 

David has been in the thick of the crisis response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, learning on the job, with an eye to what matters in an intense and fast-paced environment. David has described this past year as the toughest of his career to date, but he has also found it the most rewarding.
