She graduated in Medicine from Edinburgh University and worked across Scotland and later in rural Africa where she first became interested in supporting nurse-led services, patient safety and pathway development. She is a graduate of the Scottish Quality and Safety Fellowship Programme and is actively involved in quality improvement and quality governance work. She's passionate about person-centred care, and building and providing sustainable care and services based around what matters most to patients and families.
