Dr Elaine Mulcahy

Elaine Mulcahy is the director of the UKHACC, which is an alliance of 40 UK-based health organisations with a shared vision for a  just, sustainable, healthy world. Elaine has a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde and completed post-doctoral research in neurophysiology at the University of Sydney and Australian National University. In her role at the UK HACC, she brings together health professionals to advocate for just responses to the climate and ecological crisis, promote the health benefits that flow from those responses, and empowers members and health professionals to make changes in their professional and personal lives to respond to the crisis.
