Erik moved to the west of Scotland to enter higher education and completed an honours degree in Applied Social Studies at the University of Paisley followed by a PhD at the Universities of Paisley and Glasgow. Erik has worked in health and social care since 1996 in Argyll & Bute, East Renfrewshire and East Ayrshire. Joining East Ayrshire in 2014, Erik is currently Head of Locality Health and Care within EAHSCP.
