Fiona Thackeray

Fiona Thackeray, MA Psychology (1:1); RHS cert Horticulture, has worked in therapeutic gardening for 30 years. In 2019, she received the RCHS Dr Andrew Duncan Medal for her contribution to horticulture. Founder-CEO of Trellis, the support organisation for therapeutic gardening, she works with a growing team to provide a collective voice for the sector and the information, training and guidance practitioners need.

She previously worked in therapeutic gardening with people with disabilities and mental health difficulties on a city farm and at City of Bristol College, and later with students with visual impairments in Rio State, Brazil.
