Hazel Somerville

Hazel Somerville began her career in Health in 1987 and trained as a nurse in 1999 at Napier University in Edinburgh. She has worked in a variety of nursing roles including Sexual Health and Gynaecology.  In her current role as the Service Lead for Gender Based Violence and Sexual Assault in NHS Forth Valley, Hazel is committed to improving the support providing person centred care. She works closely with the CMO Taskforce to deliver the shared ambition to improve the quality and consistency of healthcare and Forensic Medical Services (FMS) for people who have experienced rape, sexual assault, or child sexual abuse.
