Jessica Davidson is a Senior Clinical Forensic Charge Nurse based in the police custody and forensic examination service covering south east Scotland. She was awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse in 2017 and is using this to develop her Sunday Choices project into an arrest referral regional faculty, addressing the health and social care needs of those who find themselves in police custody.

She has also been working hard to develop the role of the sexual assault nurse examiner and advanced forensic practice. In 2018, Jessica was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing, an honour which recognises exceptional commitment to the advancement of the science and practice of nursing, and to the improvement of health care.
