Karen Lowdon

Karen registered as a qualified pharmacist in 1997 and has chosen to spend her career as a hospital pharmacist gaining a vast and varied wealth of knowledge and experience over the past 25 years in NHS Tayside.

Initially working within the acute medicine setting, she developed a keen interest in quality improvement work. Karen transitioned into her current position as specialist clinical pharmacist with the Acute Frailty Team at Ninewells Hospital and over the past six years has been influential in developing medication review processes to optimise medications and enhance patient care.
