Martin McKay

Registered Mental Health Nurse / Partnership Representative, NHS Grampian

A man with short grey hair and a beard, wearing a purple top.

Martin McKay has been a Registered Mental Health Nurse for over 30 years, a Trade Union member his working life and an accredited UNISON steward for over 15 years.

Martin has always found both roles to be perfectly aligned as they have at their core a desire to aid and support those in need.

It has been Martin’s professional and personal privilege to represent UNISON Scotland on the Scottish Government Strategic Mental Health Delivery Board since 2019, working in a Partnership role to deliver Mental Health Services fit for the 21st Century and the needs of the Communities and Workforce who deliver services for them.

Over the course of the COVID-19 Pandemic, this work has become even more vital , for now and the future, to support the health and wellbeing of us all.
