Before joining the Primary Care Team, Melissa Goodbourn worked as a Social Worker, in Scotland and the United States, in a mix of frontline, research and policy settings. Melissa brings a mixed bag of skills including patient involvement and engagement, local policy implementation and service re-design.

Having seen first-hand the impact of health inequalities and barriers for individuals to access healthcare, Melissa saw the opportunity that exists within Primary care to improve outcomes for people on a community level. 

Melissa is passionate about the development of trauma-informed services, multi-disciplinary working and ensuring services take a compassionate approach to support individuals’ health and wellbeing.
