Professor Carolyn McDonald is the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer for the Scottish Government.

Before taking up her current post, Carolyn was the Director for AHPs in NHS Fife where she held a strategic leadership role, leading on AHPs contribution to the delivery of national and local policy.

Carolyn provides professional leadership in the Scottish Government and is the policy lead for all 14 of the AHPs.  She provides advice to Ministers and Government on professional matters affecting all disciplines including education, training, workforce and regulation and role/service development.

Carolyn also currently leads on Rehabilitation for the Scottish Government.
