Professor Phyo Myint

Chair in Old Age Medicine (Clinical), University of Aberdeen

Professor Phyo Myint completed his undergraduate studies in Myanmar and received clinical stroke training in Cambridge as a Stroke Association Clinical Fellow. He was awarded an MD in Clinical Epidemiology in 2007. Since 2013, he has served as Clinical Chair in Medicine (Old Age) at the University of Aberdeen. He has held national roles including Executive Committee Member of the British Association of Stroke Physicians. He co-chairs the Scottish Care of Older People Audit and the Ageing & Frailty Standards Group. He is also involved with SIGN and the NIHR Dementias Clinical Studies Portfolio Development Group.
