Ruth Glassborow

Ruth brings deep expertise in driving national policy change and translating it into impactful, sustained improvements across public services. As Director of Population Health and Wellbeing at Public Health Scotland, she leads the use of data and evidence to shape policy and practice, focusing on upstream interventions and the wider determinants of health. Formerly Director of Improvement at Healthcare Improvement Scotland, she led national programmes applying quality improvement and system redesign. Ruth holds a Masters degrees in Public Administration and Leadership, is a Generation Q and Sciana fellow with the Health Foundation, and is a qualified executive coach.
