Parkrun for the NHS
NHSScotland and the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are partnering with parkrun UK for parkrun for the NHS. Parkrun for the NHS will take place at parkrun events across the country on Saturday 8 July and at junior parkrun events on Sunday 9 July.
This is an opportunity, and a fun way for people to come together and be active outdoors, whilst recognising and celebrating the incredible contribution of the NHS to the health of Scotland.
As part of this nationwide celebration, we would like to encourage NHS colleagues and volunteers, as well as local communities, to ‘parkrun for the NHS’
This is the second time parkrun UK and the NHS have worked together in this way. In 2018, for the 70th anniversary of the NHS, an incredible UK-wide celebration was held which saw more than 146,000 people taking part as walkers, joggers, runners and volunteers.
