Prevention Matters: A Collaboration for Health Equity in Scotland

Scotland’s population health is in decline, with widening health inequalities. The forthcoming Population Health Framework will set out the national, cross-sector approach to improving health and equity over the next decade.

Leading this work is the Collaboration for Health Equity in Scotland (CHES) – a unique partnership between Sir Michael Marmot’s Institute of Health Equity, Public Health Scotland and three local areas (Aberdeen City, North Ayrshire & South Lanarkshire). CHES is driving whole-system action to improve health equity nationally and locally.

This interactive session will introduce the Framework, highlight the work of CHES, and challenge delegates to think about what can be done to improve the health of the population.
