NHS Scotland Event 2019

Poster Exhibition

The Poster Exhibition forms an integral part of best practice, learning and sharing at the Event. With over 500 individuals and teams submitting their projects in 2019, this is a networking opportunity not to be missed.

The 2019 poster exhibition featured over 200 projects happening across NHS Scotland and partner organisations to support our journey towards 2020 and beyond. These posters represented the shortlisted entries from Poster Abstracts submitted earlier on in the year.

The winners in each poster category are presented with a trophy during the Poster Awards Ceremony. This includes the winners of the Transformational Change Award and the People’s Choice Award, voted for by the delegates at the Event.

Categories

The seven poster categories are based on our priority areas for action stemming from the Quality Ambitions and the ‘triple aim’ as described in the 2020 Vision for Health and Social Care:

  1. Quality of Care: Person-Centred
  2. Quality of Care: Safe
  3. Quality of Care: Effective
  4. Quality of Care: Infrastructure
  5. Health of the Population
  6. Value and Sustainability
  7. Integrated Care

What to expect at the event

The poster exhibition at this year's NHS Scotland Event showcased over 200 posters which delegates were able to view throughout the two days.

To acknowledge the incredible standard of posters there were also a number of specifically designed opportunities for poster authors to present their work and for delegates to learn more from their quality improvement successes.

This year's Event included the following activities:

Facilitated Poster Presentations

The Facilitated Poster Presentations featured as part of the main Event as a programmed activity.

Poster Judging and Winners

All posters were judged prior to the Event on our website and a winner was selected in each poster category, including the Transformational Change Award. The People’s Choice Poster Award was voted for by delegates that attended the Event.

Poster Awards Presentation

The winning posters and the People’s Choice Poster were announced during a special Poster Awards Presentation which was held during Plenary Session 2 on Thursday 30 May.

People’s Choice Poster Award

All attendees of the NHS Scotland Event had the opportunity to vote for their favourite poster in the exhibition. The poster that received the most votes was announced along with the winning posters for each of the poster categories during the Poster Awards Presentation.
